Bundling Window and Gutter Cleaning: When It Actually Saves You Money
The window + gutter cleaning bundle saves you 10% off the combined total — but that's not actually the biggest savings. The bigger one is what doesn't show up on the invoice: one trip charge instead of two, one scheduling window instead of two, one crew that's already there. Here's the actual math on the Chattanooga bundle, when it saves you money, and when it doesn't.
§ 01
The 10% off the combined total
Pricing math first. A typical two-story Chattanooga home:
- Window cleaning (interior + exterior): $295
- Gutter cleaning (standard residential): $175
- Combined separately: $470
- Bundle (10% off combined): $423
- Direct dollar saving: $47
Small home (single story, light canopy):
- Window cleaning: $179
- Gutter cleaning: $125 (minimum)
- Combined separately: $304
- Bundle: $274
- Direct saving: $30
Larger home (3-story or heavy canopy):
- Window cleaning: $410
- Gutter cleaning: $325
- Combined separately: $735
- Bundle: $662
- Direct saving: $73
The 10% percentage stays consistent. The dollar savings scale with your home size.
§ 02
Why one visit costs less than two
The discount is real and isn't a paper promotion. Three actual cost factors disappear when we send one visit instead of two:
- One round-trip drive instead of two. A 35-minute round trip to your home from our local crew base eats real time. We don't bill for travel time directly — but doing it once instead of twice is what allows us to pass on the discount.
- One setup and breakdown. Pure-water gear, ladders, drop cloths, shoe covers, indoor protection — all of it comes out of the truck and goes back once instead of twice.
- One scheduling slot for you. You're home (or unlocked) once. We're at your home once. Everything fits in a single 3–4 hour visit instead of two separate 90–120 minute visits.
Those efficiencies add up to roughly the 10% discount we apply.
§ 03
When bundling saves you the most
Three scenarios where the bundle is particularly strong:
- Twice-a-year maintenance cadence. Spring and fall bundle visits cover the two times of year when both glass and gutters need attention. About 70% of our recurring residential customers use this pattern.
- Heavy-canopy homes. Lookout Mountain, Signal Mountain, Collegedale — homes where gutters need attention 2–3 times a year and windows benefit from the same cadence. The bundle locks in a small discount on a system you're going to use repeatedly.
- Pre-listing prep. Selling a home means you want both interior glass and gutter lines looking sharp for photos. Bundle is the obvious move.
§ 04
When bundling doesn't save you money
A few situations where you should split the work:
- New gutters in the last 12 months. Likely don't need the gutter side yet. Book windows alone.
- You just cleaned windows 2–3 months ago. Pollen-season or pre-listing? Skip windows, do gutters solo.
- You only want exterior windows. That's a faster job; book it standalone.
- Massive scope difference. If you need a deep restoration clean on hard-water-stained windows but only a quick gutter check, the math is sometimes friendlier as two separate quotes.
We'll tell you when the bundle doesn't make sense. We don't try to upsell into a bundle when the numbers don't work for you.
§ 05
How to book the bundle
Easiest way:
- 01Open the calculator and pick the "Both (bundle)" tab
- 02Tell it about your home — windows, story count, gutter linear feet
- 03The estimated range shows the bundle price with the 10% discount already applied
- 04Book the visit — no card required, no callback queue
- 05We text within two hours to confirm a day
If you're not sure whether you want the bundle or two separate services, run the calculator on each tab and compare. The difference is real but it's also small enough that what often matters more is your scheduling preference.
§ 06
What recurring bundle customers tell us
A few patterns we hear repeatedly from customers on the spring/fall bundle:
- "I forgot how much I hated booking two different appointments."
- "Same crew every time means I don't have to explain my home over and over."
- "The discount is nice but the simplicity is the real win."
That last point is what we hear most. Service business isn't always about the lowest price — it's about not having to think about it. The bundle is the version of our service that requires the least thought.
§ 07
Cadence pricing transparency
Two-visit-a-year bundle customers pay roughly the same per visit as one-time bundle customers. We don't have a "loyalty discount" that's actually just a markup hidden in the first visit. Same per-visit price, same crew, same checklist.
What recurring customers do get is first pick of route days in busy seasons. When spring books up, recurring customers get slotted first. That's the actual benefit — predictable timing, not a hidden discount.
